Andréa Phonsavanh SIMONNET is a PhD candidate in European Union Law from Nantes University, France. Her research interests revolve around external relations of the EU, in particular with Southeast Asian States. Her current thesis work focuses on Food Law and the relations between the European Union and Southeast Asia.
Carla GOMEZ is a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Law of Université Laval and the Faculty of Law of the University of Bordeaux. A member of the NEME Chair and the Centre for European and International Research and Documentation (CRDEI) at the University of Bordeaux, her doctoral dissertation examines the integration of non-commercial considerations into trade agreements.
BUI Thi Kim Hong, LE Thu Trang and NGUYEN Hoang Mai are senior students at the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam, majoring in International Law. With great interests found in International Law and International Trade, they actively engage in academic publication initiatives and foster intellectual exchange among law students.
DINH TON Minh Duc is a senior undergraduate student majoring in International Law at the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam. His studies mainly focus on International Law, Trade Law, Business Law, and Alternative Dispute Resolution. His area of research extends to Law, Sustainable Development and Innovation.
DINH Thao Nguyen and NGUYEN Minh Anh are senior students majoring in International Law at the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam. Their studies include knowledges related to International Law, International Trade Law, and International Economic Law.
François Jr. EZE’E ATANGANA MBALLA holds a Master’s degree in Business Law from the University of Douala and is completing a Master’s in International Relations, specializing in International Litigation, at the Institute of International Relations of Cameroon (IRIC). A researcher at the African Center for International, Diplomatic, Economic, and Strategic Studies (CEIDES), his research focuses on international economic and trade law, extractive law, and ADR mechanisms.
HUYNH Duc Ngoc Anh recently completed her Bachelor’s degree in International Trade Law and is now a research assistant at the Institute of International and Comparative Law, University of Economics and Law, VNU-HCM. Her research interests include international trade law and environmental law. She has conducted studies on the compatibility of environmental mechanisms with WTO regulations and provided recommendations for developing countries such as Vietnam.
Ilona MENNINI is currently pursuing a post-master’s degree in International Law at the University of Bordeaux in a dual degree program with a Master’s in Transatlantic Relations Law at Université Laval. During this program, she developed a keen interest in international trade law, which led her to write a thesis on the innovative consideration of environmental issues within CETA. She later deepened her knowledge of free trade by completing an internship at the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in the International Affairs Department.
Josuha MORVAN is a graduate of the dual-degree program in Transatlantic Relations Law between the University of Bordeaux and Université Laval. During his studies, he developed a passion for international relations, as evidenced by his participation in a European hybrid project on sustainable development and comparative law, as well as his master’s thesis on the legal framework for data transfers between the EU and the USA. His work reflects a strong interest in international exchanges and global challenges in the digital age.
LE Thi Thanh Tam and NGUYEN Thi Mai Anh are undergraduate students in Law at Foreign Trade University, Vietnam. Their academic interests focus on emerging global challenges, particularly climate change and sustainability.
Leidy Natalia SERRANO BURBANO is a lawyer who graduated from the Universidad del Cauca in Colombia. She holds a Master’s degree in Transatlantic Relations Law, earned through a dual-degree program between the University of Bordeaux and Université Laval. Her final research paper focused on the future of the free trade agreement between the European Union and Mercosur. She is currently a doctoral candidate at Université Laval, where she is conducting a research project on the inclusion of Indigenous peoples’ interests in next-generation trade agreements.
Marie-Joséphine Affoué KADJO holds a Master’s degree in Law from Université Laval, where she wrote a thesis titled Agricultural Subsidies in WTO Law: A Critical Analysis of the Regulatory Framework for Sugar and Cotton Trade. Currently a research associate at the NEME Chair, her research focuses on the intersection of agriculture, food security, and dispute settlement in WTO law.
Mathilde CLOUTIER is a Master’s student in International Studies and an undergraduate law student at Université Laval. During her internship at Canada’s Permanent Mission to the World Trade Organization (WTO), she developed a strong interest in trade negotiations, particularly in how geopolitics influences state decisions. Her master’s thesis focuses on Quebec’s battery sector, with a particular emphasis on North American integration objectives.
NGUYEN Thu Hien is the second-year students majoring in International Trade Law at Foreign Trade University in Vietnam. Her studies include knowledg related to International Law, Trade Law and Business Law as well.
NGUYEN Hai Anh is a third-year student majoring in International Economics at Foreign Trade University. Her studies include knowledge related to International Trade, Business Administration, and Development Economics.
Paul URANGA is a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Law of Université Laval and the Faculty of Law of the University of Bordeaux, under the joint supervision of Professors Richard Ouellet and Baptiste Tranchant. His doctoral research explores The Predictability of International Investment Law.
PHAM Trong Anh, PHAM Minh Anh, and NGUYEN Thi Thu Nga are final-year law students at the National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA). Trong Anh focuses on international trade law and international human rights law. Thu Nga is particularly interested in International Law, International Humanitarian Law, Business Law, and Intellectual Property Law. Minh Anh brings an interdisciplinary approach that significantly enhances the depth of the group’s research.
Sébastien Marcel MOUTOU-NKOUNKOU is a PhD candidate in Political Science at the University of Ottawa. He previously obtained a Master’s in Economics from Cheikh Anta Diop University of Dakar (UCAD) in Senegal in 2013 and a Master’s in Political Science from the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQÀM) in 2019. His research interests focus on politics and economics in Africa.
TA Khanh-Linh is a postgraduate student majoring in International Law at the University of Bristol. She is the founder of Green Path Migrants, a social awareness campaign for climate migrants in Southeast Asia and currently researches Human Rights, Environment and Migration.
VU Phuong Linh is a final-year student majoring in International Law at the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam. Her areas of interest are Public International Law, Human Rights Law, and the roles and functions of international and regional organizations in addressing global challenges.
VU Phuong Mai, VU Nguyen Hoai Anh and NGUYEN Chau Giang are the fourth-year students majoring in International Business Law at Foreign Trade University in Vietnam. Their studies include knowledges related to International Law, Business Law and Trade Law as well, equipping them with a foundation in the legal principles governing global trade dynamics.
