BUI Ngoc Khanh Linh, NGO The Vu and NGUYEN Quang Vu are fourth-year students majoring in international business law at Foreign Trade University in Vietnam. Their studies encompass knowledge of international law, business law, and alternative dispute resolution, equipping them with a foundation in the legal principles of both common law and civil law.
Chakib CHERGUI is a Master of Laws (LL.M.) student at McGill University and currently collaborates with Affilia Légal. He holds an LL.B. and an MBA and has gained diverse experience in both the public and private sectors, including at the Permanent Mission of Canada to the WTO. In academia, he is also the author and co-author of several publications in international economic law.
Charlotte TESSIER is a Ph.D. candidate in law under the supervision of Professor Véronique Guèvremont (Université Laval, Québec) and Professor Giuseppe Mazziotti (Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Lisbon). Her thesis focuses on the interplay between UNESCO cultural conventions and bilateral and regional trade agreements through the lens of the concept of cultural sovereignty.
CHU Trang Anh, DU Vu Quynh Anh and PHAM Quoc Hao are three students of the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam, all specializing in international law. They share a deep passion for academic research and actively participate in moot court competitions. Their areas of interest span multiple branches of public international law, with a particular focus on international environmental law, international trade law, and broader issues related to sustainable development.
Elisa LE YONDRE is an environmental lawyer specialising in climate governance and sustainable finance. She holds a Master’s degree in international Economic Cooperation and Business Law (University of Bordeaux / Vietnam National University) and a University Diploma in Environmental Law. She works as a researcher at the Centre International de Droit Comparé de l’Environnement (CIDCE), focusing on carbon market regulation, sustainable finance and the effectiveness of international environmental law.
Emna BARKI is a PhD candidate in Law at Université Laval, specializing in international investment law and energy-related disputes. Her research examines the evolution of foreign investor protection standards in light of the energy transition and the regulatory powers of States. She is also interested in the dynamics of sustainable investment across the African continent, where energy and regulatory challenges create distinctive constraints for both governments and investors.
Floriane LEURELE holds a double Master’s degree in international law and transatlantic relations from Université Laval and the University of Bordeaux, where she wrote a thesis on American and European strategies for screening foreign direct investment. She is currently undertaking a program in French Environmental Law to develop dual expertise in Environmental Law and Economic Law.
Jacqueline Noëlle SOPPO EKAME holds a Master’s degree in public international law and integration, a Master’s degree in international relations specializing in international litigation and a research-based Master’s degree in law from the University of Sherbrooke. She is a student member of the Lemaire Center and the SoDRUS Research Center. A doctoral candidate in law, her areas of research include international law, human rights, extractive and commercial investments, international arbitration, and access to justice.
Leïla BENABDELOUHAB is a PhD candidate in public law at UQAM in Montréal, Canada. In parellel to her international and human rights law practice, she is interested in international public law as a manifestation of relations of power, using the framework of political theory. For her thesis, she studies the logics of racial capitalism in international digital trade law using Third World and Marxist approaches.
LUONG Thi Ngoc Huyen and DANG Le Thanh Mai are undergraduates from Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam and National Economics University. Their study includes knowledge related to international economics, trade policy, market penetration strategies, and the application of indices in evaluating export competitiveness.
Maude TREMBLAY is a Master student in international law at Université Laval. Maude is focused on international economic law and international trade law. Her master’s thesis focuses on Canadian electric trade, with an emphasis on a better interprovincial integration.
NGUYEN Han-Giang is a Master’s student in International Law, specializing in International Human Rights Law at Utrecht University. She currently serves as a project assistant for Green Path Migrants, a social awareness campaign for climate migrants in Southeast Asia, and currently researches Human Rights, Climate Change, and Migration.
NGUYEN Thao Nhi and NGUYEN Tra My are final-year students majoring in International Business Law at Foreign Trade University in Viet Nam. Their areas of interest range from private to public international law, particularly International Investment Law and International Trade Law.
NGUYEN Quang Khai and NGUYEN Thi Thu Thuy obtained their bachelor’s degrees in international trade from the Vietnam College of International Trade (ESCE) in 2025. NGUYEN Quang Khai is currently a Master’s student in social sciences at Grenoble Alpes University. Their research interests focus on sustainable international trade.
Océane DONATO is a Master’s candidate in International Studies at Université Laval. A Norton Rose Fulbright Scholar, she conducts her research at the Graduate School of International Studies. Her work is interdisciplinary and focuses on China and the conflict dynamics in the South China Sea. She also serves as Associate Editor-in-Chief of the Revue québécoise de droit international (RQDI), overseeing external reviews, and as Coordinator of the RQDI Podcast. In addition, she works as a graduate research assistant for Université Laval and Université de Sherbrooke.
Paul URANGA is a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Law of Université Laval and a contract PhD student at the Faculty of Law of the University of Bordeaux. His doctoral dissertation focuses on “The Predictability of International Investment Law.” His research areas include public international law, international economic law, European law, and, in particular, international investment law and international arbitration.
PHAM Xuan Phong is a last-year International Business Law student at Foreign Trade University, Hanoi, Vietnam. His main field of research includes international investment law, alternative dispute resolution, and data law.
Séréna ORTIGOSA FERNANDEZ is a doctoral candidate in international economic law at the Faculty of Law of Université Laval, under the joint supervision of Professors Richard Ouellet and Olivier Delas. Her research focuses on “The Regulation of Foreign Subsidies by the European Union.”
